Horizon Europe NEXRUR: Regenerative viticulture in Ribera del Duero – a collaborative approach

Through the University of Burgos, NBSCLIMATE is an associated partner of the Horizon Europe NEXRUR project, which seeks to accelerate the development and adoption of new sustainable business models that support local economies and communities in rural areas, and protect and restore nature. By combining knowledge, practice, and international cooperation, NEXRUR aims to strengthen rural resilience, generating more jobs, better services, improved access to healthy food, and greater value for agriculture. The project focuses on 22 case studies spread across both the EU and China. NBSCLIMATE leads a case study on regenerative viticulture in the Ribera del Duero region of Spain, supporting 4 pioneering wineries with the adoption of regenerative practices in adherence to the IUCN Global Standard for NbS.
