The Climate Journey begins in Barcelona in the best way and most appropriate scene: the Sharing Cities Action (#SharingCitiesAction19) encounter as part of the 2019 Barcelona Smart City Expo World Congress (#SCEWC19).
The launch will take place on Tuesday, November 19 at the Sharing Cities Stand Lab within the SCEWC, and will comprise the following activities:
–1:00-3:00pm: Stand for all attending participants
–3:00-4:00pm: Press conference for the media and institutions
–5:00-6:30pm: Climate Innovation #Hackathon “Barcelona 2030”
About the “Climate Innovation Hackathon “Barcelona 2030”:
It consists in an open co-creation session to imagine the Barcelona we want for 2030, seeking to maximize climate resilience and equity, and lay out the guiding strategies to get there. Participants will include city planners from PEMB, and makers from Team Labs’ LEINNERS community. It will be guided by expert facilitators from Team Labs and SIC4Change following the “futures thinking” methodology, and will constitute the launchpad for a wider “social innovation for the climate” process within the new Barcelona Metropolitan Strategic Plan (PEMB).
