As part of a tour around Spain (Barcelona, Málaga, Madrid), on Monday, September 9 at 7:00 p.m., at La Casa Invisible de Málaga, we had the pleasure to host Anthony Torres, a renowned strategist and young climate activist from the USA, for a talk and a discussion on:
“Green New Deal, the Climate Justice Movement in the US and trans-Atlantic cooperation“
The event was held by SIC4Change – ClimatePlan.city, and supported by Fridays For Future Malaga and Malaga for the Climate Network – 350 Malaga, in addition to La Casa Invisible. Anthony spoke in English, but there was simultaneous translation into Spanish by Jesus Iglesias, who also presented the event.
The discussion was lively and fruitful, touching deeply on several important topics around the Green New Deal conversation including civic mobilization, youth leadership, intersectionality, local action and global cooperation, among others.
We look forward to building strong ties and groundbreaking partnerships with the Climate Justice Movement, and Sunrise Movement in particular, in the US via Anthony and his peers.
