The DEEP Conference is a 2-day international event led by DEEP Ecosystems where business ecosystem leaders, investors, corporates, and governments from across Europe and the globe come together to share ideas, learn and collaborate to drive innovation through transformative partnerships.
This year, the 2025 edition will be held in Spain, at Ribering Coworking in Aranda de Duero (Burgos), on March 26-27, with the Nature-based Economy as thematic focus, and within the umbrella of the EU Climate Pact. NBSCLIMATE will co-organize it in collaboration with other leading entities such as IUCN-Med, CONAMA, CARTIF, Rewilding Spain, University of Burgos, Land Life, CESFOR, IHCantabria, Wilderway, Ecoacsa, GFI España, Sweden Foodtech, EcoLaunch, Innobound, Eatable Adventures, Maarifa for Transition, Getboarded, Tokeportal, Academy of Entrepreneurship or Vivinnov. Besides, Aranda de Duero’s City Council supports the initiative, with various councillors in attendance to welcome participants. Equally, the company Automattic -Wordpress- sponsors the event, part of its commitment to sustainable rural development through remote, distributed work.
The conference aims to mainstream Nature-based Solutions as key levers of climate resilience, biodiversity enhancement, and human well-being; accelerate the transition towards a positive economy for nature and people; and involve the private sector in scaling up financing for nature.
Structured around expert panels and workshops -DEEP Dives-, it will address the challenges and opportunities the Nature-based Economy presents for rural and urban areas, unleashing collective intelligence to boost business support ecosystems and co-create Nature-based Solutions at scale. As an example from the local nature-based economy in the Ribera del Duero region, the regenerative winery ‘El Majuelo del Abuelo’ will be visited.
